Join the Inventor of The Toy Museum, Marlene Hochman.
Ms. Marlene, as the students call her, has met and interviewed hundreds of toy inventors in her 25 years since she invented The Toy Museum of NY.
She has create a curriculum that is educational, inspirational and interactive for all grades. The program begins with a brief introduction of classic toys from long ago, new toys and basic principles for inventing toys. Lastly, each student will invent their own crafty toy to take home.

Students learn what a prototype is and the invention process.
This is a STEAM project, aligned with the National Core Standards.
The importance of packaging is discussed and students will design their own packaging.
We are excited to be inspiring the next generation of inventors.
Supplies are provided to help everyone create their own "Bug-In-A-Bag From Outer Space" toy invention, which are all one of a kind and customized by each student.
Pricing a toy is an important aspect of the invention process. This will be discussed in the workshop too.

Invention Challenge #3: Create Your Own Hidden Items Games!
Short for improvisation. Great for all ages. This workshop includes guided icebreakers and acting games. Students are shown the power of their individual creative ideas and how to work and collaborate with others, all while building their confidence and public speaking skills.
This not only offers guided focus for the most extroverted students, but often also makes space for even the most shy to find their unique voice!

Our Puppet Workshop is an
anti-bullying program designed for all ages. The puppet workshop includes: an interactive puppet show, identifying, addressing, then changing patterns of conflict, learning how our words and actions affect others.
After the show, each child has a chance to make their own
"Kindness and Adopt A Pet Puppet" to take home! Supplies included in the price. Students love this workshop!

Virtual tour of the Toy Museum's collection enables your students to learn how toys have changed through the decades.

Your students will learn about toys from the past, the materials used to make the toys and what made the toys so special back in the day.
Discussed will be wooden toys, old dolls, metal toys, popular toys of the past and unique inventions.
Also included is a compare and contrast with toys from today followed by Q & A time.
