Starting in 1999, by Marlene Hochman, the not for profit Toy Museum of NY has entertained and educated over 100,000 students. Teachers and children have seen the live shows and participated in the workshops. Imagination and play are a critical part of the diverse cultural successes. The Toy Museum of NY is an educational institute chartered by The University of the State of New York Education Department, is a registered charity, and a New York City Department of Education vendor.

Marlene Hochman is Founder and President of The Toy Museum of NY and the Executive Producer of Toy Museum TV. The Toy Museum of NY was established in 1999 as a non-profit educational museum whose mission is to educate the public about the importance of dolls and toys in culture, history and play.
Her work, creating collective activities and exploring historic, classic, and new toys, continues to benefit people of all ages, from the youngest kids to the most experienced seniors.
She is best known for her work as Queen Marlene of the Toy Museum, a children’s theater show she produced called "The History of Toys." It is performed live onstage in New York City for thousands of school children and summer camps. The show provides educational programs in the field of toy history through live theater performances.
