Perfect for Kindergarten and First Grade.
The Little “Toy Inventor” Engineers Program aligns with the EL Education Curriculum Module Performance Task.
Learning and Critically Thinking
Workshops and instruction are led by The Toy Museum of NY’s experienced staff with over 25 years of expertise. Our workshops offer students a hands-on opportunity to explore and study unique toys from the museum's toy collection, while connecting these toys to real-world experiences in exciting and meaningful ways.
Each student will receive a hands-on, age-appropriate arts and crafts clay project, allowing them to design and create their own unique toy concept from start to finish. They’ll have the chance to do a show-and-tell of their creations and present their ideas in a supportive, safe environment. This creative exercise not only builds confidence but also encourages students to express and communicate their toy designs and preferences to their classmates.
Word of Mouth Recommendation and Testimonial
"We just wanted to say thank you so much for our
Toy Workshop on Friday. Federico was wonderful. All the classes loved having the experience. It was so exciting to see the older toys and the students learned so much and were talking about the toys all day.
It was such a nice connection with the module. Our administration loved it and was so pleased. We were able to get such nice photos.
Federico was so sweet and kind to the children.
The little gift for the teacher was extremely thoughtful - we were not expecting anything and appreciated the thoughtfulness. It was a pleasant surprise for a Friday we felt appreciated.
We will definitely contact you for next year as well.
Thank you again so much for your flexibility and kindness in coordinating. You have a wonderful program and should be so proud of the work you are doing. Thank you again and hope you have a wonderful week and a wonderful holiday season."
